TCN Meets Siemens, FGNPC On Accelerated Power Agreement

As follow up to the bilateral electricity “Acceleration Agreement” signed on the sidelines of the COP28 event held last month in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the Transmission Company Nigeria, TCN recently met with the FGNPC and Siemens delegations on the implementation of the pact.

The meeting which took place at the office of the Acting Executive Director, TSP, and leader of the TCN's team, Engr. Shehu Aba-Aliyu focused on the necessary pre-engineering design works required to accelerate the implementation of the approved list of transmission projects under the Presidential Power Initiative (PPI). 

Also discussed were the required technical specifications, applicable laws, and standards (local and international) that the nominated projects will comply with. 

While the team from FGNPC, led by Dr. Idowu Oyebanjo, Chief Technical Officer, included Mr. Toye Ogunnowo, Engr. Nwokoye, Engr. Bakare, and Dr. Uujhaman, the Siemens team comprised of  Sean Manley, Project Director and Maxime Heluin, Head, Grid Technology Solutions, North, West, and Central Africa.
