The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, has organized a two-day workshop on "Environmental & Social Safeguard Implementation" for its Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) staff.
The programme which was held at the Kano Regional Office of TCN between October 12-13 was organized in conjunction with the World Bank.

The objective of the programme according to management sources was to deepen awareness of TCN's HSE staff on policies that address environmental and social risks that have to do with project implementation.
In related development, the Company has also organized a three-day sensitization programme on Health, Safety and Environment for Heads of Department in its Abuja region.
The programme aimed at further instilling safety culture in the operations of TCN, sensitized staff on different ways of fire prevention, protection, and evacuation.
Held between 10th-13th October, 2023, the exercise focused on the elements, classes of fire outbreak, benefits of fire protection, how to identify various dangers, caution signs as well as consequences of fire outbreak.
