He said that the contributions of the retired top management staff to TCN was invaluable and urged them to always leave their doors open for the company if its comes knocking for their support and guidance on any issue.

According to him, "I have worked well and very closely with these amiable fellows for many years and as such, this event holds mixed feelings for me. This is because while we are rejoicing that they are retiring well and in good health after spending a greater part of their adult lives to serve the nation, we also feel a tinge of sadness knowing that we will all dearly miss their unparalleled dedication, patriotism and remarkable leadership ".

As they enter this new chapter, I extend my warmest wishes to them for a fulfilling retirement and success in all their endeavours", he said.

I thank the MD/CEO and the management for this honour. I urged those who are taking over from us to work harder to surpass what we did. Under us, we attained the highest peak of power transmission and commissioned the highest number of transformers and substations. Challenge yourselves to do more than we have done".

I have no doubt that those we're leaving behind are committed and will do better than us to move the company forward".
