The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced the successful completion of repair works on the Ikeja-West/Osogbo 330kV line.
This was confirmed in a statement by the General Manager, Public Affairs of the Company, Mrs. Ndidi Mbah.
The statement explained that the line was affected by a fault on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, which occurred at a distance of approximately 14.9km from the Ikeja-West Transmission Substation, resulting in a load loss of 165MW
Mbah noted that “an investigation into the incident revealed that an articulated truck hitting a detached conductor on Tower 527 caused the collapse of Tower 528 and damage to Towers 526 and 524.
TCN's repair team worked tirelessly to re-erect the affected towers and line before successfully restoring supply on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at about 7:30pm.”
