Terminal Equipment of Ihovbor/Benin 330kV Line 2 at Ihovbor 330/131kV Substation
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has successfully commissioned the turn-in-turn-out connections for the Ihovbor/Benin and Ihovbor/Ajaokuta 330kV Transmission Lines at 19:05 hours of Wednesday, 23rd April, 2026.
Double Circuit tower T1 housing Ihovbor/Benin 330 Line 2 and Ihovbor/Ajaokuta 330kV Line 1 at Ihovbor 330kV Substation The commissioning delivers the Ihovbor corridor and provides additional evacuation capacity for the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) and Azura Power. Presently, the Ihovbor/Benin Transmission Line is tramsmitting 200MW, while the Ihovbor/Ajaokuta line is transmitting 90MW.
