The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to inform the public that its maintenance crew will load the newly installed 300MVA 330/132/33kV power transformer at its Katampe 330/132/33kV Transmission Substation on Saturday, 1st August, 2026, from 10 am to 10:30 am.
The thirty-minute exercise will result in a temporary bulk load reduction from the substation, affecting a few areas in Abuja only.
Consequently, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to offtake power for onward distribution to Maitama, Mpape and parts of Jahi only for the stated period
TCN apologises for any inconvenience this will cause electricity consumers in the affected areas.
