TCN Sensitizes Grass-roots Communities Across Bauchi Region on Power Infrastructure Protection

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Bauchi Region, has sensitized communities across Bauchi, Kaduna, Plateau, Adamawa, and Gombe States on the dangers and consequences of vandalism of transmission infrastructure.

The campaign, which commenced on 16th June, 2026, and concluded on 25th June, 2026, was aimed at strengthening collaboration with host communities and promoting collective responsibility in protecting critical national assets.

Speaking during the engagements, the General Manager (Transmission), Bauchi Region, Engr. Rabiu H. Magem, represented by the Senior Manager (System Lines), Mr. Ibrahim B. Lautalson, urged residents to safeguard transmission facilities, report suspicious activities, and avoid encroachment on Right-of-Way (RoW) corridors.

Traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups, and other stakeholders across the five states expressed support for the initiative and pledged continued partnership with TCN in protecting transmission infrastructure.
