TCN Transmission News
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to inform the public that its maintenance crew will carry out a scheduled maintenance exercise on a 100MVA power transformer and its associated switchgear at the Central Area GIS 132/33kV Transmission Substation.
The maintenance exercise will enable TCN engineers undertake routine preventive checks on the transformer from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Wednesday September 23, 2026.
Consequently, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to offtake power supply to customers in Wuse Zones 1–7, Sheraton Hotel, Central Business District, Utako, Jabi and environs during the exercise.
TCN apologises for the inconvenience this planned outage will cause electricity consumers in the affected areas.
