The Lagos Region of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has commissioned two new 100/125MVA power transformers at its 330/132/33kV Alagbon Transmission Substation in Lagos State. The commissioning ceremony took place today, 18th January, 2024.
The commissioning of the 2x100/125 MVA ower transformers has increased the capacity of the substation from 240MVA to 440MVA and enhanced more bulk power transmission to Eko DisCo for offtake to its customers in IKOYI, VICTORIA ISLAND, BANANA ISLAND, some parts of LAGOS ISLAND and LEKKI.
This project is part of the ongoing TCN's rehabilitation projects to boost power supply nationwide.
