New Perm Sec Assumes Office In Ministry of Power

The new Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Power, Alhaji Mamudah Amman on Friday January 19, 2024 formally assumed office 


It would recalled that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently approved the posting and redeployment of new and exciting Permanent Secretaries to different ministries. 


Mamudah who was redeployed from the federal Ministry of Works, takes over from Mr. Temitope Fashedemi who has been reassigned as Permanent Secretary,  Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.


Speaking, Mamman who said that success is a collective responsibility, expressed his commitment and readiness to work with the staff of the ministry.


While soliciting the support and corporation of Management and staff of the Ministry, he promised to operate an open , transparent and accountable administration. 


The new Permanent Secretary promised to foster peace in order to collectively align and achieve Mr. President's "Renewed Hope Agenda" which includes provision of affordable, reliable and steady power supply.


On his part, the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Mr. Fashedemi,  thanked the Management and staff of the Ministry for the cordial and harmonious working relationship he enjoyed while piloting the affairs of the Federal Ministry. 


He enjoined the management and staff of the Ministry to extend the same hand of fellowship he enjoyed to his successor.


In her remarks, on behalf of the management and staff of the Ministry, the Director, Human Resources Management, Mrs. Victoria Adeosun, welcomed the new Permanent Secretary and pledged the support and cooperation of the staff of the Ministry.


She expressed the Staff readiness to follow the Permanent Secretary's directives in order to achieve the goals and mandates of the Ministry in line with Mr. President's Agenda.


Highlights of the occasion was the formal signing and presentation of the handover notes between the outgoing and incoming Permanent Secretaries.
