Notice of Maintenance on Uyo/Eket 132kV Transmission Line

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) hereby notifies the general public of an ongoing scheduled maintenance exercise on its Uyo-Eket 132kV Transmission Line. The maintenance commenced on 1st May 2026 and is scheduled to run for a period of four (4) weeks, with operations carried out three (3) days per week only.

During this period, supply will be interrupted daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (9 hours) every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only. Consequently, Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC) will be unable to offtake bulk power for supply to its customers in Eket, Ekim, and Ibom Power Company (IPC) on the specified days.

The maintenance is being carried out to enable TCN’s contractor install the Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) along the Uyo-Eket 132kV Transmission Line. When completed, the upgrade will further improve the reliability and efficiency of the transmission network.

TCN sincerely apologises for any inconvenience this exercise may cause electricity consumers in the affected areas. We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of affected customers as we work to further improve bulk power transmission.
