The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Abuja Region, wishes to inform the public of a scheduled annual preventive maintenance at the Karu 132kV Transmission Substation on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 10:00am to 5:00pm
The planned maintenance is to enable TCN’s maintenance crew carry out annual preventive maintenance on the Karu–Keffi–Akwanga 132kV transmission line bay and its associated switchgear.
Consequently, Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), will be unable to off-take bulk power supply from Keffi and Akwanga Transmission Substations for distribution to customers in Karu, Nyanya, Jikwoyi, Kurudu, Orozo and Karshi, as well as Mararaba, Ado, Masaka, Auta Balefi, Keffi, Akwanga, Nasarawa Eggon and surrounding communities.
TCN apologises for any inconvenience this planned maintenance will cause electricity customers in the affected areas.
