The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to inform the public that its maintenance crew will undertake a scheduled maintenance at the Katampe 330/132/33kV Transmission Substation on Saturday, 15th August 2026, from 8:00am to 6:00pm
The maintenance work is to enable TCN maintenance crew reconnect the newly installed 330kV Busbar 1 disconnector switch of the 75Mvar System Shunt Reactor to the 330kV Busbar 2.
Consequently, Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) customers in Wuse Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, Utako, Jahi, Jabi, Central Business District (CBD), parts of Maitama, and Mpape will experience a 30-minute power interruption only, from 8:00 a.m to 8:30 a.m, during the switching operation.
TCN apologizes for any inconvenience this will cause electricity consumers in the affected areas.
