TCN Transmission News
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to inform the public that a scheduled annual preventive maintenance will be carried out at its Effurun 132/33kV Transmission Substation on Wednesday and Thursday, October 28th and 29th, 2026, from 10:00am to 3:00pm daily.
This work is necessary to enable EPC Contractors safely commission the SERGI fire protection system on the 100MVA 132/33kV Transformer (T2) 3EFRTR2.
Consequently, Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) 33kV feeders, including Refinery 1 & 2, Effurun, PSLM, and Warri, will experience a brief power interruption of approximately 20 minutes to allow TCN engineers carry out essential switching operations.
TCN apologises for any inconvenience this may cause electricity customers within the affected areas.
