TCN Restores Bulk Power Supply Through Gombe-damaturu-Maiduguri Line

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) is pleased to announce the successful restoration of bulk power supply through the Gombe-Damaturu-Maiduguri 330kV transmission line.

Following the vandalism of Tower 372 on September 22, 2024, TCN completed the rebuilding and stringing of the line on October 23, 2024. Power supply was subsequently restored in phases, with the Gombe-Damaturu section coming online at 7:25 pm on October 30, 2024, and the Damaturu-Maiduguri section following at 2:01 pm on October 31, 2024.

TCN had initially delayed restoration due to vandalism on the Ugwuaji-Apir transmission line. However, bulk power supply is now fully restored along the entire Gombe-Damaturu-Maiduguri 330kV transmission line.

TCN appeals to the public to join the fight against power installation vandalism, which threatens Nigeria's electricity future. The company urges citizens to report suspicious activities around transmission installations to security operatives or TCN offices nationwide.
