The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, received students from JIBWIS Science Secondary School, Jama’are, Bauchi State, on an educational tour of the Kumbotso Transmission Substation on Thursday, 13th November 2025.
During the visit, TCN engineers guided the students through key components of the transmission substation, including transformers, switchgear, and protection equipment.
The students were also shown how high-voltage electricity is transmitted from generation companies and distributed across various parts of the country.
The school management expressed appreciation to TCN for the warm reception and valuable exposure, noting that the visit will help bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical industry knowledge, while also inspiring greater interest in science, engineering, and energy-related careers.
