TCN Transmission News
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Kano Region, hereby informs the public that the 40MVA, (TR1) 132/33kV transformer at Kwanar Dangora Transmission Substation has been successfully restored.
The transformer was restored at 5:02pm of September 24, 2026, following the successful replacement of the faulty 170kVA rarthing transformer, which had caused the earlier outage.
With the completion of replacement work and necessary technical checks, the 40MVA power transformer was successfully energised, restoring power supply to the affected 33kV feeders.
TCN appreciates the patience and understanding of affected Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDC) customers during the period of the outage and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
